we're going to make soup for dinner
last night we walked 4 m iles down to the beach and it was lovely! we thought we could catch a bus down there, but as we were walking, no bus passed us, so we walked, which made us late for the comet...but we saw it over some trees, bright with the tail and everything...but when we actually got down to the beach and didnt have any obstructions in our way to see the sky...it had disappeared, but we were still left with God's beautiful sky with venus shining bright and the ocean at our feet...so we dropped our clothes, and went for a late night swim! it was a great night. it was probably the most fun i have had here so far. mmmm.
then we had to walk home all wet...but that didnt stop chris from stopping to drop his clothes again and run thru some city sprinklers for a good 2 minutes while i was trying to get a decent picture.
(ps- when i say drop our clothes, we were wearing our swimmers...no worries.)
all was grand.
my boss called me last night and talked over the job with me and it seems like its going to be so fun and i will be starting monday at 7am. she asked me if i knew how to make coffee and i told her i used to work at starbucks and she got extremely excited. (there are no starbucks within all of western australia...all i have to say is that my work better have some good espresso.)
i have 2 sorts of silly 'committments' while i'm down here...the first is well on its way...julie and i are going to watch the entire series of FRIENDS during our time in perth...(we're already on the last disc of season 2) and the second one i just began today...i'm listening to every single song IN ORDER on my ipod...i began with a long session of 'nsync...and now i'm at new found glory. this one will take a long time. this is how i amuse myself ... you'd think i'd find something better since i am in australia and its amazing...but thats all i came up with.
oh and of course there is fprbm which will live on my entire life. ohhhh the goodness.
