free food, i'm there.
yesterday i went to the salvation army church, in floreat. it was a walk down the road and it ended up being quite pleasant. i was greeted by the pastor as soon as i stepped in the church and he introduced me to a girl named, laura, who he told me to sit with. she was very kind. we sat also with a guy named joel, and i met a few other people my age, as well. i think i'll go back next week and see how i like it. the worship is different than my church from home. but the people are nice. and the message was how we shouldnt just be a building, but a church. a safe place for people to come. for new people to come. spread the love. was the jist of the message. after the service joel and i got free donuts (like a 12 pack) from 'donut king.' - they donate their old donuts to the church...i ate about 3 for lunch...ick. not too bad. joel then drove me home and i sat around for the afternoon and made, pierre. (he appears to the right)i went for a walk down to the beach and saw an amazing sunset and i just soaked it all up. it was grand.
today was my first day of work. it was fun. the girls i work with are nice and my boss' too. i made sandwiches. and i cleaned. and i got to make myself a sandwich for lunch and before i left i indulged in 2 "flat whites" (which are there, coffees...or lattes.) yum! THEN, best part of my day...it was slow today b/c it was the first day they were open after the holidays...so there was a bunch of bread and muffins left over...we all get to take home bread if we want...or else they'll just throw it out...and me, i was ALL over that plan. i ended up bringing home a big baguette thing (but more round...some italian bread i think) and 1 1/2 loaves of bread, and 2 raspberry white chocolate muffins! wooooooie. it was fab.
anywho. today is fprbm...and i only brought 4 AUD to the supa and the one that i usually get for 1.70 was sold out..and all the other ones were over 2 bucks..(i had to buy one for julie too) so i bought a "choco energy boost"...i'm nervous about it...but it was cheaper...i havent drunk choco milk in a 'supa' long time.
ok...goodnight.
